(Micro)CT
X-rays Computed Tomography (CT) makes use of computer-processed combinations of many X-ray images taken from different angles to produce anatomic cross-sectional (tomographic) images. Radio-opaque contrast agents (usually based on iodine or barium) can be used to enhance the signal.
In microCT, the instrumentation is implemented with accessories or with a technical set-up which provide optimum resolution and sensitivity for small animal studies.
